THE GOVERNING BOARD consists of:

PRESIDENT, VICE-PRESIDENT, SECRETARY, TREASURER and PAST PRESIDENT.

League positions to be filled every year!

DIVISION COORDINATOR (5) - We need one coordinator for each division. This individual is responsible for running their division. This includes: helping with player evaluation week, maintaining lines of communication between the executive and your division coaches, assisting in the placement of players on to teams (draft day) so that the teams are balanced, presenting trophies to teams and players at our end of season tournament and final games of the season.

LEAD VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR (1) - This individual is in charge of coordinating the volunteers for events that occur during the roller hockey season. (eg: tournament staffing, equipment assistance, follow up with team managers to ensure parent volunteer committments are met). Our registrar will provide you with a list of volunteers.

TOURNAMENT CONCESSION COORDINATOR (1) - This individual is responsible for coordinating our season end tournament & BAR-B-Q.. This involves: scheduling staff for the concession , making signs for the event, purchasing food items/organizing food vendors.

STATISTICIAN - Collects scoresheets on a weekly basis from the referee room drop box in SDRC, compiles and tabulates results to formulate standings by division for the regular season.  Sends information to local newspapers for publication.

EQUIPMENT MANAGER (1) - We need an individual to oversee our equipment room. Duties include: arranging new purchases for the upcoming season, allocating goalie equipment and team jersey's at the start of the season, coordinating equipment return during the last week of the season. This position is busier at the beginning and the end of the season.

ASSISTANT EQUIPMENT MANAGER (1)

T-SHIRT COORDINATOR (1) - This individual is in charge of tabulating, ordering and distributing delta revolution t-shirts at the end of the roller hockey season. Lists of players and sizes needed supplied by the registrar.

REFEREE SCHEDULER (1 or 2) - coordinates the referee schedules for the regular season and our mid-season tournament. The volunteer coordinator will provide you with people to assist in calling the referees to verify their schedules.  This position may be split into two divisions with one scheduler taking on the two larger divisions (Bantam and Peewee) and one scheduler taking on the remaining divisions (Squirt, Mite and Tyke)

ASSISTANT REF SCHEDULER - (1 OR 2) - assists the ref scheduler by calling referees to verify their schedule and attendance at games.

REFEREE IN CHIEF(1) - oversees our referees. Must be 19 years of age. Know and understand the rules of inline hockey. Must attend the BCIHA Head Referee workshop (1 afternnon in Langley - sometime in March)  Runs the referee clinic for Delta Revolution in early April. Nominal salary.

REGISTRAR (1) - this person will be in charge of setting up and maintaining a data base of player info, print and email lists of players to Coaches etc. (must have a computer with email, excel, and/or Microsoft works.)

ASSISTANT REGISTRAR/S (1 OR 2) - assist the registrar with data input, in preparation to take over position of registrar. (see computer requirements above)

COACH - One coach is needed for every team. The coach is responsible for: evaluating all players in your age group, drafting his/her team, picking up/distributing/collecting the team gear during the season, running the team with the help of the assistant coaches. The coach is also responsible for paying the referee's when his/her team is the home team.

ASSISTANT COACH - helps the coach with running the team and filling in the team lists on the score sheet prior to every game.

TIMEKEEPERS (2 per team) - runs the time-clock and completes the score sheet during the game during the regular season.

TEAM MANAGER (1 per team) - assists the coaching staff by making telephone calls, puts together team lists, coordinates refreshments for the team following the game. This individual may also pay the referee's (when you are the home team) and ensure that volunteers are recruited from their team (liasing with Volunteer Coordinator).

 

LEAGUE ADMINISTRATOR (1)New position - takes direction from the League Executive and is responsible for handling league operations, which includes rink scheduling, t-shirts, team photo's, liasing with Delta Parks and Rec, tournament coordinator, setting up registration day, managing equipment room, advertising and evaluations.  This is a paid position. 

TOURNAMENT TIMEKEEPERS/SCOREKEEPERS (lots) - These positions are vital so that the tournamement can run smoothly.  You will be blocked in 3, 4 or 5 games at a time.  We will schedule your game times to cover your childs game(s), as much as possible.
